Multimedia component
Display a full-width image or full-width video with a caption.
This guide demonstrates how to add the Multimedia component, which can be used to display a full-width image or full-width video with a caption. Videos must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo to be added to the site.
Step by step
To add an image or video using the Multimedia component:
- On the page you are creating or editing, select the Component tab. Then, tap the Components drop-down.
- Choose Add Multimedia.
- The component will appear. Complete the following fields:
- Image - Add an image, which will display as either the primary image or as the thumbnail to a video. Select Choose File, then select an image. Review DAS's helpful hints for writing alt text for images. You must add an image even if your primary multimedia is a video.
- Video - If adding a video, paste the URL from either YouTube or Vimeo.
- Caption - If desired, add a short description to provide context about the image or video. This could also be the title of the video.
- Subtitle - If desired, add more information about the image or video.
- To delete the entire component, tap Remove. Then, tap Confirm removal.
- Select Save. If you are ready to publish your page, ensure the Published toggle is enabled (green in color).
