Multimedia component

Display a full-width image or full-width video with a caption.

This guide demonstrates how to add the Multimedia component, which can be used to display a full-width image or full-width video with a caption. Videos must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo to be added to the site.

Step by step

To add an image or video using the Multimedia component:

  1. On the page you are creating or editing, select the Component tab. Then, tap the Components drop-down

  2. Choose Add Multimedia.

  3. The component will appear. Complete the following fields:
    1. Image - Add an image, which will display as either the primary image or as the thumbnail to a video. Select Choose File, then select an image. Review DAS's helpful hints for writing alt text for images. You must add an image even if your primary multimedia is a video.
    2. Video - If adding a video, paste the URL from either YouTube or Vimeo.
    3. Caption - If desired, add a short description to provide context about the image or video. This could also be the title of the video.
    4. Subtitle - If desired, add more information about the image or video.

  4. To delete the entire component, tap Remove. Then, tap Confirm removal

  5. Select Save. If you are ready to publish your page, ensure the Published toggle is enabled (green in color).
