Landing Page content type

Create a landing page for your site.

This guide demonstrates how to create a landing page using the Landing Page content type. Please note, this content type is used as the home page of your site.

Step by step

To create a Landing Page:

  1. Select Content >> Add content >> Landing Page.

  2. A "Create Landing Page" template will appear. While the format is similar to creating a basic page, there are a few differences:
    1. Title - Enter a title for your page. This will appear in large letters at the top of the body section (not on the image), otherwise, choose to hide title. This will also become your default navigation URL.

  3. In the Main Content tab, complete the following:
    1. Hero Landing Page Carousel Item -
      1. Alternative hero style - Enable if you wish to have a different type of style.
      2. Apply dark overlay - Enable if you wish to have a dark background placed on your image to increase the visibility of the text on the image.
      3. Slide title - Enter the title of your page. This can either be the same as your Title, different, or left blank. This will appear on the image at the top of the page.
      4. Slide Subtitle - Enter a short description of your page. This will appear in small font above the title on the image.
      5. CTA - If desired,
        1. URL - Search the name of the existing page on your site the user will be brought to. Select the piece of content from the dropdown.
        2. Link text - Enter a title that describes the link destination. For example, "IT Org Chart".
      6. Slide Background -
        1. Single Image - Add an image to be displayed as a top banner image to your page. Select Choose file, then select an image from your desktop. Review DAS's helpful hints for writing alt text for images.
        2. Video - Add a looping video to be displayed as a top banner to your page. Select Choose file, then select the MP4 video file from your desk-top.
        3. Left & right images - This will only appear if the single image or video is empty. Select Choose file, then select an image from your desktop.
      7. To add another Hero Landing Page Carousel Item, select the Add Hero Landing Page Carousel Item.
    2. Subtitle - Enter a short description of your page.
    3. Body - Enter the content of your page.
    4. CTA link - If desired,
      1. URL - Search the name of the existing page on your site the user will be brought to. Select the piece of content from the dropdown.
      2. Link text - Enter a title that describes the link destination. For example, "IT Org Chart".

  4. In the Components tab, you can add from a variety of components. Adding components is not required, but can add style and choice to your page.
    1. To add a component, tap the Add accordion component dropdown, found at the bottom of the Components tab. Select which component you would like to add.
    2. Drag and drop a component to the position you'd like on the page using the slider, found in the upper left-hand corner of the component.
    3. To delete a component, tap Remove. Then, tap Confirm removal.

  5. Select Save. If you are ready to publish your page, ensure the Published toggle is enabled (green in color).
